Intl. Eyedea Forum 2025
A Two-Day Event of Knowledge, Connection & Vision Science
More than 150 professionals from across Greece gathered on June 14– 15, 2025, at OTEAcademy for the International Eyedea Forum 2025—a two-day event dedicated to optics, optometry, and contact lenses.
With scientific direction by Dr. Dimitra Makrynioti and the support of leading companies and SILMO Paris, the Forum highlighted international developments in vision science through an engaging, interdisciplinary program featuring lectures, workshops, and open discussions.

The program hosted 16 distinguished speakers, equally divided between Greece and abroad. Notable international experts included:

The program combined scientific insight and clinical practice, addressing current technical, technological, and commercial trends in the field.
Exhibition & Networking
A dedicated sponsors’ exhibition allowed participants to explore innovative products and solutions, strengthening the connection between science and industry. On Saturday evening, the French Wine Night— in collaboration with SILMO Paris and the Hellenic- French Chamber of Commerce—offered moments of relaxation and networking.
The Eyedea Forum 2025 was held under the auspices of the University of Patras, in collaboration with the SILMO Academy and the Hellenic Academy of Optometry.
