The Mediterranean Connection

Faos, based in Greece and MyCrown Collection based in Monaco, two innovative brands deeply committed to sustainability, have joined forces to create a special capsule collection of eco-friendly sunglasses, aptly named “The Mediterranean Connection”. This collaboration represents a fusion of Greek and Monaco craftsmanship and design ethos, emphasizing the importance of eco-conscious production practices.

Named after Castellorizo, an isolated Greek island simplex, each pair of sunglasses in “The Mediterranean Connection” capsule collection holds a special significance. The name Castellorizo” itself is a compound word derived from “Castello” meaning “castle” and “Rizo”, derived from the Italian word “rosso” meaning “red” in Italian. This nod to the island’s rich history and natural beauty serves as inspiration for the design of the sunglasses.

The “Mediterranean Connection” sunglasses are characterized by a numbered, limited production, adding to their exclusivity and appeal. They are crafted with meticulous attention to detail, utilizing premium materials such as premium acetate and 18 carat golden-plated metal parts. Their lenses, tinted for UVA/UVB protection, are crafted by Carl Zeiss Vision, ensuring both style and functionality

In addition to their environmental consciousness, Faos, and MyCrown Collection are deeply committed to giving back to the community. Therefore, 10% of the sales from “The Mediterranean Connection” capsule collection will be donated to the municipality of Meyisti (Castellorizo), supporting a charitable cause of their choice and directly benefiting the local community. This philanthropic initiative further underscores the brands’ dedication to making a positive impact beyond the realm of fashion.
