We need to ask information about our patients lives to reach the most suitable treatment. The treatment an Optometrist can offer is mainly through all types of glasses, contact lenses and lightning. An optometrist must keep always in mind the instability of the tear film. Finally he should always be aware of any co existing pathologies of the eye, so in such case he should always refer the patient to an Ophthalmologist.
