MIDO 2026: THE WORLD’S LEADING EYEWEAR EVENT RETURNS TO MILANO

From January 31 to February 2, 2026, Fiera Milano Rho will once again host MIDO | Milano Eyewear Show, the international benchmark event for the eyewear industry. This much- anticipated event welcomes opticians, manufacturers, designers, buyers, journalists, and industry professionals from around the world to connect, do business, discover new trends, and explore the future of eyewear.

The new scheduling moves the event earlier than usual to avoid overlapping with the start of the Milano-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics, reflecting MIDO’s ongoing attention to the needs of its community. Exhibitors and visitors attending the 2026 edition will also have the chance to experience Milano at a unique moment, enjoying the benefits that only an Olympic city can offer: revitalized urban spaces, efficient services, state-of-the-art infrastructure, enhanced transport networks, an expanded cultural offering, and the vibrant energy of a major international event—without the overcrowding and logistical pressure typical of the Olympic days.

MIDO offers a unique platform where industry professionals can preview world-first product launches and innovations directly from manufacturers. It serves as an unrivaled hub for sourcing new solutions, gathering insights, and finding the best options tailored to the needs of optical retailers. MIDO is also the only event where opticians can physically interact with and test the latest machinery and instruments—all in one place. Education will also play a central role, with The Vision Stage offering a dynamic lineup of talks, workshops, symposia, and seminars led by international experts. Topics will include digital transformation, globalization, training, diversity and inclusion, employee wellbeing, and sustainability—key themes for shaping the future of the industry.

In 2025, the show hosted 1,200 exhibitors and attracted 42,000 visitors from 168 countries. In addition to visitors, MIDO 2025 recorded more than 16,000 exhibitor attendees over the three days, from stand staff to company employees, agents, representatives and distributors. This data further underscores the show’s drawing power.

The event also saw significant media coverage, with 400+ accredited journalists in attendance and 590+ media coverages along with 300,000+ user interactions (+20% vs 2024) on the event’s main channels. Specifically, MIDO-generated content received more than 3 million views (+50% compared to last year).

MIDO 2026 is committed to addressing the evolving needs of opticians and industry professionals, offering countless opportunities for networking, collaboration, and strategic reflection, especially in the areas of technology and sustainable innovation. MIDO will be glad to meet you at Silmo (Paris, September 26-29) at the institutional booth ANFAO- MIDO, in Hall 6, stand G056, to tell you about the news of the next edition.
